Valve bodies, pistons, rods, fittings. The sealing dimensions decide: close tolerances on diameters and a fine finish exactly where the seal runs - the rest of the surface may stay rougher without doing any harm.
What decides at quotation
The diameter alone says nothing. A bore correct in diameter but out of round or tapered leaks as surely as a wrong one - which is why sealing dimensions also call for form: roundness, cylindricity, sometimes run-out to a datum axis. Mark them explicitly; without them they are machined to the general class, which for a seal is not enough. Second: the surface finish the seal runs on. Too rough cuts the seal, too polished does not hold the oil film.
