About us

Founded in 1998 by Octavian Petric, METALPET grew from a small workshop with four conventional machines into a manufacturer producing over 4,000 part types per week. A direct contract with Siemens Germany, won in 2004, drove the diversification of our range.

Milestones

  1. 1998 The company is founded in a workshop with four conventional machines, one heat-treatment furnace and one grinding machine.
  2. 2004 A direct contract with Siemens Germany covering more than 150 part numbers. The product range diversifies and the workshop grows to 380 m².
  3. 2019 The hall is extended to 800 m² and the Mazak park is consolidated. to be confirmed

How a collaboration starts

Four steps, in the order they happen. We set them out here so you know what follows before you send the first drawing, not after.

  1. The drawing and feasibility

    We read the drawing and hold it against the machine park: diameter, length, material, tolerances, surface finish. If a dimension sits at the edge of the envelope or calls for a second setup, we say so before quoting, not after the first part. A plain “not like that” at the start costs less than a “we nearly had it” at the end.

  2. The quotation

    The quotation arrives with price and lead time within 48 hours. It also names the machine group the part runs on and the order of operations — which is where you see what you are paying for, and where it could be cheaper if the drawing allows.

  3. The first article

    Before the series, a first article is made and measured, with a dimensional report. If a dimension cannot be held as drawn, the discussion happens on the drawing with the measurement beside it — not corrected quietly and not shipped hoping nobody checks.

  4. The series

    Every batch ships with its 3.1 or 3.2 material certificate and a dimensional protocol. Traceability runs back to the heat number of the material, so a part delivered three years ago can still be reconstructed.
